This is Hyperlark, a gamer blog not specifically about anything by a guy who needs something to grow up to be. As close to a mission statement as I can manage.

Everyone on the internet is an expert. I am really just a spectator with observations. Personally, I'm not looking to be an influencer or a celebrity; I just want an empty room to shout into every once in a while, and there is really no bigger space than the internet. These days, everyone goes where the people are, and the people are all on social media. Nobody leaves the siren servers of emotional manipulation and groupthink. That's why it seemed like the perfect time to set up my own little cabin in the backwoods of reality – a website. Once the mark of sophisticated nerds the world over, it's now a forgotten relic of a dead age. If you think about it, the internet might be the most crowded location in the world, but it's also the one place nobody will ever really see you. I'm here to embrace that part. So maybe you will join me for some creativity and code out beyond the lights in the dark of the desert, the wasteland of personal expression that was once what made this all so fun.
